The recovering progress of South Bank, Brisbane

State library of Queensland

One can not help to notice the difference of South Bank after this 2011 flood, how much it has damaged the area.  Especially in the evenings, the whole area sits in a heart breaking darkness.  If anyone like me walk pass, in and out of this place all the time, will notice the place holds its breath in an unusual silence.

The red spot stands out from the state library of Queensland photo is called the 'red box'.  It is my favourite room to ponder.  It used to be comforting looking over Brisbane river into infinity. Nevertheless, after this event, the view will always summon a ghost.  A ghost reminds me however graceful the river might seem, never underestimate the power of nature.

The spell that seals a beast within the beauty is very fragile.
