Sakura Coorparoo- the place to go for Japanese in Brisbane (必訪布里斯本日式餐館: 櫻花)

The place that we always go back for great food and enjoyment.  Mentioned Sakura to H before and promised to put on some photos.

We always have good service and nice food.  It might be because we were there so often and over such a long period of time.  The dinning experience at Sakura has lasted more than 10 years...

  • Salmon and Tuna lightly seared.  The Tuna piece is not on the menu.

Remembering taking W and her father to the old Sakura half way to the top of Highgate Hill.  Mr. W was very pleased with the seafood shabu-shabu.  He was an excellent cook too.  One of some very few occasions that someone else serves on my table.
  • Soft Crab roll
My favourite entree is probably the seafood salad.  It can be a very nice size light dinner just by itself.

Other side dishes like Tofu and Omelet are also very nice.  Especially when the Omelet is just cooked, very juicy .
  • 4 pieces nigiri
  • lightly seared swordfish, Uni and Ikura ship
The chef knows that I love the uni ship, it's probably the first thing I check every time when I walk into Sakura.  For the last two times there had been none...  Fortunately it was there on N's birthday dinner.
Since it's a birthday dinner, we had some wine to cheer for the star.  A rice wine with blossoming fragrance.  It is probably not a standard selling item on the menu.  It's L's house wine at Sakura at the moment.
