Brisbane's Brunch options-cafe Atomica, Three Monkeys, Vroom Bistro & Bar, Anouk & Sirromet Winery

It is the time of the year that one can not help slowing done, wanting to take rest, looking around, sending out greetings to love ones and friends.  A time with good spirits.

Thanks to friends L & T. These are unexpected, full of pleasant surprises.  Always think of you and wish you all the best regardless where you are, what you are doing.
Atomica's Pancake

Another catch up brunch with C. This is at the cafe Atomica on Boundary Street, West End, Brisbane, one of the best places to have brunch in Brisbane urban suburbs. Great value for the price and the food, nonetheless, you do need to count on some luck.  Their floppy pancake (picture on the right) are something different for a try.

My personal favourite is probably ‘Espresso Head’ next door, but this one has the inner seats with air-conditions, which is hard to resists during Brisbane’s Christmassy Summer.

Talking about West End, Three Monkeys is another must try, it used to be 'the one and only’ choice in 90s if I want to have my coffee in this area. Whether a bless or not, there are many more options these days.  Picture on the left is the wild berry strudel.  There are two sofa areas at three Monkeys, best chance to have those seats will be around 3 in the afternoon during the weekdays.

Have been catching up with friend for weekends brunches, the following three are all Egg Benedict with smoke salmon from three different places.

The top one is from Vroom Bistro & Bar at New Farm. The adds on field mushrooms are very nice.  Taste totally different from the mushrooms you get at supermarkets.

The middle one is from Anouk at Paddington.  It's probably not the best thing to order on the menu, but I just in a mood of trying out the Egg Benedict.  Their special brunch dish is probably a small pan size mushroom served in the pan to the table.

The last one is the best among them, but it's about half an hour drive from Brisbane.  It's at the popular Mt. Cotton Sirromet Winery.  Best fresh ingredients.  You can taste the sweetness and freshness in the tomato, best smoked salmon.  Even the olive oil has nice green flavour and the eggs are cooked to perfect.  Surprisingly not overly expensive in comparison to the above two.  If one has a whole morning to spare, it will worth the travel, since you also get to enjoy the view from the restaurant.
