"Featured as part of the Queensland Conservatorium’s Crossbows festival, ensemble fabrique presents ‘from a dying land’ a concert exploring the many facets of death, destruction, and a dying world. In collaboration with Brisbane based Poet, Zenobia Frost, the ensemble explores aspects of Brisbane’s historic Toowong Cemetery through a new vocal setting by Josephine Jin of Frost’s manuscript which draws on the history, tradition and mythology surrounding Brisbane's Toowong Cemetery. ‘from a dying land’ features works by George Crumb, Andrew Schultz, John Dowland/Timothy Tate and Josephine Jin."

五感與記憶
不記得在哪裡讀到過的一篇報告, 提到人的嗅覺辨認能力比起味覺及聽力要高得多. 聽覺是選擇性辨識極高的一種感知力, 生理結構不允許耳朵選擇性的休息 (受不了的人只能隨身帶著耳塞來調整), 而且聽力細胞的受損還是不可逆的. 上次發表會時便曾提到, 耳朵是件過勞的器官. 吃東西看東西, 都還有得休息片刻的機會, 聽與聞卻無. 所以人們日常聽到的聲音, 很大一部份會因被大腦判斷成不重要而遭過濾. 嗅覺則是五感裡最靈敏的, 人類對氣味的辨認度比對味道的辨認度來得高多了, 因此進食的經驗是由嗅覺先開始, 食物還沒入口時, 印象便已然成形.

QSO&Schirmer's Morzart, Strauss and Janacek
昨晚聽了現場的 Schirmer 搭配昆交首席指揮 Johannes Fritzsch 的莫札特c小調鋼琴協奏曲, 對照上月的那一組貝多芬, 心裡立刻跟 Maestro Fritzsch 大師道歉一百次, 真是不怕貨比貨, 只伯不識貨啊...果然能被稱為 Maestro 是有原因的.

D. Shostakovich Symphony No. 10 & S. Kovacevich's Beethoven No. 4 (蕭斯塔高維契第十及柯瓦契維奇的貝四)
去年馬勒辭世百年, 整年不用說是馬爺大發威. 2012年也該換換口味, 昆交第一場選了 Shostakovich 的作品, 令人耳目一新的選擇. 另一個大賣點則是 Stephen Kovacevich 的貝多芬協奏曲.

There is often a danger in discussing music, the form that produces nothing that can be seen, touched, smelled or even tasted, does yield a range of more ethereal results. It is this very human and personal reaction that can draw the line in the sand and provoke impassioned argument, from even the most amenable.

疲馬戀舊秣, 記于壬辰龍新年
這兩天台灣正在放年節長假, 網路上和眾親友聊天, 講來講去免不了談到吃上頭.
自中學負笈來澳, 每年長假回家父母總是可憐我像是給人折騰似地比離家時消瘦. 其實不過是在家命太好, 伸手張口食物不得停, 點心小食隨手得取. 平常時怎麼可能是這種吃法?

Post-concert note 音樂會後記
虧得各方愛護支持, 兼之有 Belle 美少女的高超琴藝加持, 2011 年底的發表總算是有驚無險的順利結束. 要感謝的人實在太多, 打理音樂會所有細節的演奏者本身及學妹 K, 可愛的前學生 T, 百忙之中撥冗蒞臨的眾多佳賓貴客, 友人同好, 同領域中的前輩同儕及後進. 等待時在後台難以抑制的焦慮跺步, 完成的作品有沒有達到應有的水準? 心中的惶恐莫此為甚.
