The Counter-Brisbane |
Although their chocolate seems too sweet for my taste bud, I do enjoy the Italian style hot chocolate for an indulgent office break drink at times. The chocolate coated cinnamon apple used to be my favourite, unfortunately they stop that product this year.
The bar |
Since it's only been opened around 2 weeks, the staffs are still getting use to the environment and tasks. The person took order actually tells you there is a 15-20 minutes wait.
'Would you mind?'
For this time--the first time, no, but next time, who knows.
Gift selections |
When I was waiting for the drink the coffee maker posed from time to time without knowing the next order when there were at least 5 hot drink orders waiting. Go and order a coffee at Starbucks, such a delay will be considered as a crime.
In the middle of this the staffs plating up the cakes had to ask the person who placed order twice to clarify which order goes to which. As one could imagine, the counter were completely hold up.
Just like going into any international brand, people know what they are having and expecting the product to meet the standard. Considering this, my drink would pass the bench mark. Unlike trying out unknown cafes, with Max Brenner, there should not be any risks in ordering food and drinks, a lot safer but less surprising.

What is going to be the bomb that might ruin the visit? Service. The standard of service can not always be guaranteed. It varies from shop to shop, day to day. I sincerely hope that after 'Free Style' there will not be another shop land on the blacklist purely because of the bad service.
